Scarborough has always been neglected by the lack of importance and funding given by the government. Throughout the pandemic, we witnessed how even though we were the hardest hit community, we were not prioritized. Our community deserves better than this.

WHEREAS Scarborough represents 25 percent of Toronto’s population yet only receives about 1 percent of all healthcare donations;
WHEREAS Scarboroughs hospitals continue to be underfunded;
WHEREAS Scarborough’s increase of healthcare needs for vulnerable community members requires more funding and human resources
THEREFORE WE, the undersigned petition the Legislative Assembly of Ontario to treat Scarborough equally and urgently provide us with the necessary healthcare funding and human resources we need to serve Ontarians.
